The Stiff Eyebright

The stiff eyebright (Euphrasia stricta synonym: Euphrasia officinalis) is an up to 30 cm tall plant in the broomrape family (Orobanchaceae). Popularly known as the species klaaroog said.

The preferred location is on moist, calcareous sand, as some moors and dunes may occur. The plant is half parasite extracts and salts to water and grasses.

In the Netherlands, the plant is rare and the Dutch Red List of plants as common, but very much reduced in number.
